FC Dallas was in town!

Brian has huge dilemmas when it comes to which city’s soccer team to support. FC Dallas is his first love, can’t overlook that fact, but we live in Kansas City, so isn’t it right to support your hometown? After MUCH wrestling, he’s decided he can be a KC fan except when they play FC Dallas. And they did on Saturday night. Thanks to the Feliches (for both the tickets AND the babysitting!) we got to both go! The last time we got to do that was before Becks was born I think! It was so so much fun. They tied. I watch.

Petting Zoo Day!

This is Becks LETTING THE GOATS EAT OUT OF HIS HAND! Huge day for our boy o’ caution!

This is our good Aggie saying “Gig Em Aggies” in front of the longhorn! Karyn and I explained to him that we don’t like longhorns!

Ya think maybe we should have started in the BABY goat pin instead of the HUGE goat one? Check out that face!

Visiting Duck and Yea-Yea

For some reason this post never made it up…it’s old, from our Texas trip.

Pastors Tony and Nathan, much to Brian’s disappointment I’m sure, Beckham’s favorite room was the trophy hunting room (is that what you call them?). It’s been a year since he’s been there, but he asked to go see all the other ducks and dragged me back to the room. He then proceeded to point out EVERY fish, duck and deer…even in pictures.

I think SP might be getting less chubby!

In El Paso/Juarez/New Mexico

This past week Laura and I traveled to Mexico/El Paso on a mission trip with our students. The work was hard but the fellowship was wonderful. This was one of those trips where you must be serving Christ’s Church or simple wear out. In years past we’ve spent time interacting with the church members in Mexico and done VBS or other relational centric activities. This year the local church called on us to finish a home they have been working on all summer. It is for the Pena family whose previous home burned to the ground a year or two ago leaving the five of them living in a tiny room above an auto repair place with no running water. Now they have a three bedroom house that is quality due to the work of many churches coming down and a few skilled believers who volunteered their summer. You can see all of the on our flick account a few quality student ones or just a few Laura and I centric ones by clicking on the following link.
