Between Beckham and Sadie Piper, they’ve dipped almost everything in either ketchup or ranch. In keeping with this, at last week’s Sunday night cookout, Becks finished his dinner, got a rice krispy treat for dessert, and dipped it in his ketchup. I guess I’ve seen this type of thing enough that it didn’t phase me, but everyone else at the table was grossed out.
Yes, he really is closing his eyes to “savor” it.
Sensing their skepticism, Becks told everyone at the table that they should try it. Sam was the only one to take him up on the offer. And that’s why Sam’s cooler than any of us…
He said it was a weird combination of sweet and salty. I think Becks had him dip every bite.
We rode our bikes up to Sam’s baseball game a few weeks ago. It was really fun to get to see him play!
Sadie Piper made lots of friends; mostly she just wanted to get on and off the bleachers about 2 rows up, meaning she needed help. She’d ask anyone nearby. Eventually her “friends” just knew she wanted up or down and would be ready to help her before she’d even ask! But really, who could say “no” to this?
We got to go to two great parties last week. The first one was a super fun adoption open house carnival for a super sweet girl! We couldn’t be happier for this family and are so very excited that her and Becks will be in the same PreK class next year!
VERY cool cake!
Face painting! Becks wanted a Batman!
I look up and see Becks just standing like this with Roxie. He loves his Roxie!
SP wanted a butterfly. She put them on her leg so she could see them, really smart! She loved it!
The second one was a 1st birthday party of a college friend’s daughter! Really fun!! And really yummy cupcakes!
They had a pool, sprinkler, wagon, sand/water play box, all sorts of fun outside toys!
Halloween is planned at the Hough house! My parents gave SP a Tinkerbell dress for her birthday. So I was giddy when I saw this outfit in clothes from Jack handed down to Becks! We have a Peter Pan and a Tinkerbell!! Captain Hook for Berkley? She’d need a wig though…how do you find a wig for a 1 year old? How priceless would that be? Maybe Wendy?
