I’m always prepared for Mondays cause we are so blessed to have an amazing church and church family to celebrate the Lord’s day with.
It’s only 11:15, and it’s been an eventful Monday. In most cases, when someone uses the word “eventful” they really mean “bad” but not in this case.
Beckham has this thing about Brian and Becks being “buddies” cause they are the two boys. He tells the girls we can be “friends” but there’s not intruding on the “buddy” label. Ever. Only dad and Becks get to use that term. So Brian left this morning and the kids were eating breakfast and Becks asked me, “Will you take good care of Daddy’s buddy today?” So sweet. He then proceeded to tell me he was a dog, but a girl one, and needed a name. I named him Daisy, and he was pleased with that. I had cookies from yesterday and when Beckham asked for one last night I told him he could have one tomorrow. The boy has a wicked memory, so first thing the morning he was reminding me of my promise. (All that background was just to explain why I was giving our kids cookies at breakfast!) He finished his cereal and asked for a cookie. I gave Sadie Piper the other one, and crazy girl asked for more Blueberry Special K instead. No worries, she gave it to Becks and he downed both (that’s my boy!).
Then at Wal-Mart this morning, no lie, two different employees stopped and asked if I needed any help. One even stopped and talked for a minute. What kind of weird world is this? And where are these people when I’ve spent 20 minutes looking for someone…anyone. Not complaining, it was super nice!
AND I found this:
No one’s as excited about this as Brian. I can’t remember how we heard about whipped peanut butter, but it was years ago and he’s been on the hunt (via me and the internet!) ever since.
