Dynamo Day 1: Reserve Game{0}
The Houston Dynamo Reserve Team was in town today to play Sporting Kansas City. Anytime they are in town it becomes official Dynamo Day. So we got Becks and the girls and took them down to Swope Park to have lunch and watch. Here are some pictures from the day.
This is Alex Dixon. Guy is crazy fast and really nice. He later scored a goal in the game helping the Dynamo win 3-0.
There was a rain delay so at first the Dynamo came and sat under the shelter that we ate lunch under. I found myself with a little celebrity shyness. I didn’t want to be “that guy” so I didn’t talk to many of them. When we talked to some of them after the game they were very nice.
More pictures after the link.
When the team went to their bus to wait out the storm, Beckham and Sadie Piper watched the bus waiting so they could wave when they left.
When someone got off the bus Beckham in his hearing distance is yelling telling us, I see a Dynamo! The Dynamo went into the bathroom! The Dynamo is in the Port-a-potty!
When they finally came out of the bus they were very excited telling us, “all the Dynamos are getting off the bus!”
Here they are waving to the bus.
This is Nathan Sturgis, he is new to the team this year having played in Toronto last year.
This is Tyler Deric, He went to Klein High School where I went to school. Great goalie!
This is Brian Ownby. Love watching him play and hope he’ll get some first team play this year.

Calen Carr. He was really kind, they all were which only makes us love the Dynamo more.
This dude did not agree with the call.
Here Berkley is “on the phone” inviting someone over to her house. She is really holding like a 2002 iPod to her ear. .
This is our first round draft pick Colin Rolfe. He came in and scored a goal in his first few minutes.

This is one of the goals. It was weird being excited, but not a soul on the sidelines cheering with us.

Here are the “stands” Peter Vermes is the all seeing eye in the tower. He kept looking for some ring and then this short hobbit guy asked us directions.
I took this picture because I was intrigued by the amount of orange clothing they brought with them. That is long sleeve shirts or something.
There is the family trait focus with tongue hanging out.
Finally Sadie Piper waving goodbye to the guys.
There are a bunch more photos in the Flickr Set here.
